PAPER Foundation Research

PAPER Institute Division

  • The Paper And Plastics Education Research (PAPER) Foundation focuses on the paper, packaging and supplies distribution channel.  The Mission of the Foundation is threefold:
    • To provide leading edge research and education that will enhance the knowledge, and provide intellectual capital to ultimately improve the performance of either the individual member or the industry.
    • Provide a forum for distributors and manufacturers to come together and collectively study, discuss and share information.
    • Enable the Association to utilize this research to attract and retain members.
  • The Foundation has endowed the PAPER Institute at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville where both short and long range industry specific research is conducted. Results are shared with the industry through white papers, reports, and educational programs.
  • In addition to the work of the Institute, other research projects are managed by the Foundation focusing on a variety of industry subjects.
  • Each year the Foundation provides a dozen or more scholarships to worthy students whose families are directly connected to NPTA member companies, as well as providing one Graduate Fellowship at the University of North Florida.

Special Projects Division

  • The PAPER Foundation also conducts short-range research through its Special Projects Division.
  • These are specific assignments that are accomplished by consultants with results made available to the trade through written reports, conference presentations and education seminars.
  • The Foundation strongly encourages suggestions for project ideas from all its members.
