The faculty for the NPTA ALLIANCE Management Development Program has been hand picked for their experience and expertise. Professors from leading universities and consultants in the paper and packaging industry are instructors for the Program.

Mr. Frohlich is President of the NPTA ALLIANCE; President of the Paper And Plastics Education Research (PAPER) Foundation; and responsible for the administration of the NPTA ALLIANCE. Mr. Frohlich joined NPTA ALLIANCE in 1981 as Director of Communications and was named Vice President in 1984 with the launch of the Association's monthly magazine, which he edited and published. He was named president in 2000. Mr. Frohlich also serves on a number of industry advisory boards. |

Dr. Bates is founder and chairman of the Profit Planning Group, a research and executive education firm working exclusively in the area of corporate financial planning. He provides strategic direction for the firm's investigation into profitability research for over 70 different trade associations. He has written extensively in a number of publications, including the Harvard Business Review, the California Management Review and Business Horizons. |

Mr. Costello is a retired CEO of xpedx—a leader in distribution of commercial printing, graphics and packaging solutions. With 37 years experience in the paper industry, Costello has the big-picture view of the industry to present to today’s up-and-coming managers taking this course. After spending two years in the service, Costello started his career at Mead Corporation in 1965. Since then he has held a number of careers culminating with his retirement from xpedx in 2002. |

Mr. Harms is president of The Marketing Department, a marketing consulting firm with more than 20 years in marketing and sales management for companies such as Armour-Dial, Toro, Capp Homes, and Bekins Van Lines. He is an expert at helping change a company’s orientation from internal/sales to external/marketing, developing effectively differentiated products and services, and implementing Economic Advantage Selling. |

Ms. Harrison is the assistant director of the Outdoor Pursuit Center at Miami University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management and her master’s degree in Outdoor Education Administration. She has served as the director of outdoor recreation at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Georgia Southern University. She has facilitated leadership development and team-building exercises for a variety of groups throughout the United States. |

Mr. Murray is the president of REM Associates, a consulting firm specializing in the area of business operations and planning. His experience encompasses all aspects of management, focuses on operations, physical distribution, logistics and warehousing. He previously held the position of corporate vice president of operations for General Mills, and he has also served as president of the Warehousing Education Research Council. |

Dr. Shulman is a professor of organizational communication at Miami University and is an expert in the fields of leadership, meeting facilitation, strategic planning and goal setting, organizational learning, leading change, and quality improvement. He receives high praise from participants for his enthusiasm, sense of humor, application of his ideas to practical issues, and concern for individual development. |

Mr. Trusley is the president of Gar Trusley & Associates, a consulting firm based in Columbus, Ohio, and he has conducted over 4,000 seminars for over 25 years for all levels of management. His areas of expertise include team building, delegation, motivation, performance management, sales skills, and problem solving. His is noted for helping participants apply "real world" tools to on-the-job training. |

Dr. Walker is president of Meta-Visions and is a licensed, certified psychologist and management consultant. He conducts professional seminars throughout the country on management styles and skills, team building, coaching and counseling, conflict resolution, excellence in leadership, organizational culture, and strategic planning. He counsels executives, conducts organizational surveys, and develops and publishes validated learning materials for management. |
