NPTA Emerging Leaders Network

Applications for the Emerging Leaders Network inaugural class have now closed. If you would like to nominate a colleague for the next scheduled meeting held in January 2018, you may do so at any point. Complete a nomination form using our online application, or print the PDF application and return to npta@gonpta.com or fax to 312.673.6736.

 

What is It?

The program gives a voice to emerging industry leaders within NPTA and provides opportunities to connect and build relationships through education, networking and involvement with projects that directly impact NPTA's leadership. The goals of the program, as defined by the Emerging Leaders Network Task Force, are to:

  • Create a forum for emerging leaders to network with other emerging leaders in the industry
  • Create an opportunity for emerging leaders to network with NPTA’s leadership
  • Provide educational opportunities
  • Create a working group for actionable NPTA initiatives
  • Create of a pool of future NPTA leaders
Emerging Leaders will have organized, in-person meetings at the following events:*
  • Print 2017 (Graph Expo) – September 10-14, 2017, Chicago, IL
    Meeting will run concurrently with the NPTA Board of Directors meeting, followed by a joint networking event.

  • Paper Distribution Conference (PDC) – January 23-24, 2018, Naples, FL
    Meeting will run concurrently with the NPTA Board of Directors meeting, and Emerging Leaders will be able to participate in conference programming and networking events.

  • University of Innovative Distribution (UID) – March 11-14, 2018, Indianapolis, IN
    Emerging Leaders will be able to participate in the educational programming and participate in a group networking event.

*Registration, housing as well as air and ground transportation is the responsibility of each participant.

How Do I Qualify?

  • Employed by an NPTA member company**
  • Nominated by a colleague – you cannot nominate yourself
  • Candidate should have a strong demonstrated professional interest or personal interest in the printing and writing paper distribution channel
  • Highly accomplished in your career and expected to rise to the top of the field within the next 10 years
  • Able to participate in key meeting dates and sessions over the next two years
  • Willing to work and participate on key initiatives that directly impact NPTA and the industry

**Limit of one individual per company
