The Manufacture of Printing Paper: An overview of the principal raw materials and primary methods of preparation – including pulping and bleaching, followed by papermaking and finishing operations.
Paper and the Environment: Discussion of environmental attributes of paper, including a review of recycled fiber, fiber certification, and the overall sustainability of paper.
Uncoated Papers: Text & Cover/Business/Offset: Types and Uses
Coated Papers: Commercial, Magazine, Catalog, Retail Insert: Types and Uses
Digital Printing Primer: An overview of the various digital printing technologies with an emphasis on how the paper affects the final results. Review of the implications and performance requirements for paper.
Exhibit Booth Tour & NPTA Networking Reception: A guided tour of he HP and Xerox booth with a 30 minute demonstration of their machinery and a discussion about the importance of paper in the process. At the end of the tours the group will reconvene at the NPTA Networking Reception on the show floor for complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
